FACULTY PROFILE

Abilash K M is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in teaching, research, and corporate finance. He earned the prestigious Associate Fellowship (2019) from the UK Professional Standards Framework (Advance HE, UK), reflecting his commitment to innovative teaching and learning. His academic credentials include an M.Phil. in Management from Prist University, an MBA in Finance and Marketing from S.A. Engineering College (Anna University), an M.Com and Diploma in Management from the University of Madras, and a B.Com from A.A. Arts & Science College, University of Madras; he has also submitted his Ph.D. thesis to the University of Madras. Abilash brings over seven years of academic experience, having served as Assistant Professor at SCMS Cochin School of Business, Lecturer at Muscat College in Oman, Kodungallur Co-operative College in Kerala, and Vel Tech High Tech Engineering College in Chennai, where he taught MBA and management courses. His industry background spans more than six years, including roles as Consultant & KYC Analyst at Crowe UAE, Finance Executive & AML Analyst at HSBC Global Service Delivery—where he received the Best Star Performer award—and Process Associate at Capgemini, earning the Hall of Fame award for the HUL project. Abilash has published four peer-reviewed journal articles and presented eleven papers at national and international conferences, and he serves as a reviewer for the Shanlax Journal of Management and the South Asian Journal of Social Studies and Economics. His teaching and research interests focus on finance, accounting, investment behaviour, digital transformation, and management education.
