Dr. MANILAL P
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Dr. Manilal P is an experienced academic and industry professional with over 30 years of diverse experience. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Kannur (1991), an MBA, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM). He earned his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Kochi, where he currently serves as an approved research guide in the area of Management.
With more than 20 years of industrial experience, Dr. Manilal has undertaken senior management responsibilities across critical areas including Operations, Engineering, Projects, and Materials Management. Early in his career, he worked as Senior Executive (Automation) at Jindal Saw Pipes Ltd., Nashik, contributing significantly to the development and commissioning of the seamless tube plant. Prior to this, he served as a Project Engineer at Petron Engineering Ltd., where he was involved in the design and execution of electrical systems for industrial projects such as Ambuja Cements Ltd.
At Apollo Tyres Ltd., he held senior management roles overseeing Engineering, Utilities, and Materials Management functions across the company’s Kerala manufacturing units, focusing on process optimization, cost efficiency, and strategic project implementation.
Dr. Manilal transitioned to academia as an Assistant Professor at DCSMAT Business School, Vagamon, where he has taught for MBA and PGDM programs. His teaching portfolio spans Operations Management, Operations Research/Management Science, Quantitative Techniques, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Human Resource Management, and Business Law.
From 2023 to 2024, he served as the Principal and Director of Holy Grace Academy of Management Studies, providing academic leadership and strategic guidance. Driven by a strong commitment to teaching and research, spanning 11 years, he voluntarily switched from administrative responsibilities to focus more intensively on academic pursuits and doctoral supervision.
Dr. Manilal has published articles in reputable, high-impact journals and presented his research at several international conferences. He actively participates in Faculty Development Programs to continually enhance his teaching and research capabilities.
He is a Senior Member of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), Navi Mumbai, and a member of the Kerala Management Association (KMA). Additionally, he holds certifications as an Energy Manager from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Government of India, and as a licensed Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) from the Government of Kerala.
